HOW TO IMPROVE POSTURE AT WORK
What is posture awareness? How we go about our day affects our posture. Exercise, heavy lifting, device usage, sitting positions, and even watching TV can all affect our posture, but with awareness, we can make little changes that can make a big difference.
We at Team Pamper are here to give you and your team the knowledge to be able to ignite the idea of what is good and bad posture. Our grounded talks and presentations give a real insight into the reasons why we suffer from everyday aches and pains and what we can all do to help ourselves.

POSTURE AT WORK
The 2022, The office of national statistics report that sickness absence in the UK labour market, reported 10.5% of all sick days were due to musculoskeletal problems (including back pain, neck and upper limb problems).
There are many factors that contribute to sick days taken due musculoskeletal conditions, improving a person posture can only help an individual.
Examples of possible occupations and their area of imbalances that can cause pain:
Office worker: Sitting at their desk on average up to 7 hours per day, with little or no movement. Pain-affected areas: Lower back, wrist, forearm, shoulder, between shoulder blades & neck
Driving occupations: Sitting behind a wheel, curved forward for hours. Pain-affected areas: Neck, front of shoulders, between shoulder blades
Primary school teacher: Spending hours bending over, speaking to children with their classes. Pain-affected areas: Mid back, lower back & bottom neck
Carer: Heavy physical work, static work posture, lifting and forceful movements, pushing and pulling movements, Pain: Predominantly lower back pain
To say it’s important to get up, move, and stretch would be the understatement of the year, but many of us have no idea where to start.
